Laser Cutting for Garments

Precision garment cutting - sealed edges, zero waste

Cut any fabric pattern in under 60 seconds with sealed edges, zero fraying and seamless CAD integration. The future of garment production is here.

The Technology

The future of garment cutting

The global garment manufacturing industry is undergoing a massive shift toward automation. Manual fabric cutting - with scissors or rotary cutters - is slow, imprecise, and highly dependent on skilled labour that is increasingly expensive.

Laser cutting delivers a definitive solution: concentrated laser beams cut fabric with extreme precision while simultaneously sealing the cut edge - preventing fraying without any additional finishing processes.

FAQ

Common questions

Contact us for more details.

What fabrics can the laser cut?

Cotton, polyester, silk, nylon, lycra, denim, canvas and most synthetic blends. Not suitable for leather, PVC or materials containing chlorine which produce toxic fumes when laser-cut.

Does laser cutting damage delicate fabrics like silk?

Modern CO2 lasers have adjustable power levels specifically for delicate fabrics. Silk and chiffon can be cut cleanly at low power settings without scorching.

How does CAD integration work?

FashionDot laser cutters receive pattern files directly from the CAD software via USB or network connection. Select the pattern, load the fabric, press cut - fully automated.

What maintenance is required?

Regular cleaning of the laser lens and mirror (weekly), and periodic replacement of the laser tube (typically every 2-3 years of heavy use). FashionDot provides scheduled maintenance.
